We are determined to see the fulfillment of this vision by actively helping the families, praying for the unreached and sending forth leaders everywhere. As we empower the family, we are building Strong Families. Strong Nations...
Welcome to Yahosep [‘may God add posterity’], the WOCFAN Youth Ministry where we strive to instill godly principles in our young men and women 13 -18 years of age, ensuring that their daily walk is firmly grounded in Christ. Our vision is “to raise strong youth who will transform the nations by exercising Kingdom dominion everywhere.” Our mission is to develop youth who will be powerful instruments of change for the cause of Christ: Youth as God’s catalysts for igniting revival in the earth.”
Our strategy is to teach and model the practical application of Biblical principles so as to equip our youth to live victoriously for Christ in a contrary world." At “home”, we meet every Sunday morning at 10:00AM for fellowship and thematic Bible studies that address the real-life challenges that face our youth and thus equip them to not only resist and overcome those challenges but to also become a positive influence to their peers. We also host strategic youth and family enrichment programs such as picnics and health fairs.
Our youth mentoring and accountability program identifies and develops the leadership potential in our young men and women so that they can become positive role-models and peer-counselors at church, school, work, and everywhere. Through the vibrant youth drama team and their skits and presentations, and our youth ministry team (ushers, singers, teachers, and preachers), we will continue to make the youth at WOCFAN an integral part of our overall corporate worship experience. We also take it to the “street” through our outreaches and Youth Explosions, the capstone of which is our "Jesus! That's what's up!" youth outreach event. Additionally, we embark on missions trips around the world to fulfill the mandate of Jesus Christ to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
The current statistics on teenage drug abuse, pregnancy, suicide attempts, and STDs suggest that if we fail to save our youth today, we will loose a generation tomorrow, and a nation ultimately. Therefore if we build our youth today, we can transform our nations tomorrow. At Yahosep, we are determined to defy the statistics. And if you ask us what’s up with that, we’ll boldly proclaim, “Jesus – That’s What’s Up!”
